Current Cross stitch favourites plus a few other non stitchy related items

Aggg Severely neglected blog

I am so sorry that I have not been on here much.  I have not been feeling well these past couple of weeks.  I have been stitching though as much as I can.  I have found out that I am anemic and I have very low levels of B12.  This would explain why I have very low energy.  I have been on iron and b12 pills since last Tuesday and I am slowly starting to feel better even though I have a cold.

So aside from all of that things are going well.  The kids are great and still enjoying school.  They had a bit of a break due to our thanksgiving holiday.  I have been enjoying watching floss tube even though my wish list is growing and growing because I keep seeing all of these wonderful projects that everyone is doing.

I just discovered the wonderful world of brookes books as well as shepherds bush.   http://www.brookesbookspublishing.com/

I am going to try my best to keep updating this blog as well as keep working on my floss tube which is on you tube.   My kids are a bit older now so having an extra project to do such as this blog and youtube are great to fill my time when they are out with friends or at school.

I hope that everyone gets lots of stitching done and has a great week :)

UPS and downs

Hey guys,

So these past couple of weeks have been a challenge for me but one that I am now ready to accept and face.  My depression and my anxiety will not define me.   I came to this thought one night while everyone was sleeping and the house was so quiet.  My brain was overwhelmed and this thought popped up in my head.  So as my husband was snoring I decided no more that I am going to try my best to solve this and keep on keeping on.

I am working more and more on self care and putting myself first.  That is hard for a mom to do but something that I need to do. So lots more of Stitching lots of reading and hanging out with my  husband and kids. I want to do things that will make me happy and learn to change my outlook when I do things that I don't really like.   For an example I hate doing laundry but I have been thinking lately how lucky that I am that we have a washer and dryer in our house and that my family has clothes to wash because alot of people are no so fortunate. So with this new way of thinking my past week has been more manageable and I have not had as many down moments that I used to have in the past.  So I am hoping to keep going.  I am a work in progress just like my cross stitching,  one stitch at a time well for me it is also one day at a time :)

Have a great day everyone.

Some lovely Haul :)

What I am working on from my new haul of magazines.

I am going to do this in 3 separate posts.  The first one is from the Cross stitch and needlework magazine September 2012 issue.  I found these on the website called Herrschners.  I will link the site below.

https://www.herrschners.ca/

I will be having lots and lots of fun :)   I will post pictures as I add them to my rotation.  I dont have the time to sit down and kit them all before I start them so what I have decided to do is add them on my x stitch app, they will be in alphabetical order and then as they come up I will prepare the fabric.  There may be a few exceptions as I am eager to start a couple of them.  I will show more on that later on.  This magazine was well worth the $4 plus the shipping, for the 3 magazines it was a little over $20 CAD.  It was a great score.  I plan on ordering a few more soon.  Happy Stitching everyone :)

New Haul again :)

This is an awesome magazine and I love the projects that I have picked out.  September 2012
