Sore mouth hardly any stitching :(
I went to the dentist last week to get a cavity filled. My mouth is still quite sore so I have not stitched much. I did pull out the below WIPS and tried to give them some much needed love.
The first one is hoot owl from the Just cross stitch Halloween issue 2014 I love owls they are very cute :)
My next one that I pulled out is Hodgepodge Stockings from Cross stitch and needlework magazine winter 2015. This one is on brown perforated paper. I like working with the paper however you have to be careful with it as I find that it tends to bend quite easily. I am happy with my progress so far and I believe that the next time it comes up in my rotation it will be a finish.
My last one that I picked out was five seasons of quilts by Ursula Michael. I am working on the Summer quilt. I love quilts and I wish that I could put one together. Maybe later when I have more time I will try and learn how to make one.

Honest post
This is a bit of a personal post but I am going to share just a little bit of my story. I have been suffering from depression ever since I lost my grandparents. It started when I lost my grandfather and then when my grandmother passed it was then that it got really worse. My nan and Da have been gone for quite awhile. They say that time heals wounds but that is not true for me. For me its worse because everyday that goes by is a day that I miss them more and more. I dont know if that makes sense to anyone but it makes sense to me. My grandparents were my mom and dad. They were everything to me and there are days that I feel completely lost without them. My nan is the one who I would run to about anything. She was always there for me and always believed in me.
I started stitching in 1994 as a way to cope with loosing my grandfather to cancer. I found such a sense of peace in doing this craft. After my nan is when I really seriously starting stitching. It became my thing to go to whenever I could feel the stress coming on. I am trying to encourage my kids to find a hobby other than video games. It has been hard but I am hoping that one day they will be ready to tackle either this craft or another craft. My daughter loves to read and draw anime which makes me very happy. My son loves his video games and his technology as well as riding his dirt bike.
I believe that everyone should have a hobby something that they love to do. For me it is cross stitching and I dont care anymore about how I look while I am sitting there stitching. I love it and I enjoy it very much plus it has been helping me with my anxiety as well as my depression.
I hope that everyone reading this is well and that you take time to yourself and be kind to yourself.
Happy Stitching :)

My homemade needleminders
I have been on a save my money kick lately. So I decided to see if I could make my own needleminders. I dont think that I did that bad. I had alot of fun just wondering around Michaels and looking at all the charms. It was fun to make :)
Latest finish!!
I am on vacation and I have made plans to get some serious stitching done. That is my plan but not sure how it will work it out but whatever I can finish is all good :)
I love my latest WIP. It is the house of cross stitch from the stoney creek Winter collection 2016. It is super cute :)

Mini haul again!
I really wanted one of these carts for awhile so I picked this up at Michaels. It will hold all of my floss plus the current project that I am working on. At the end of the night I will bring it to my room. Keeps everything organized. I love the patterns in the cross stitch gold magazine. If there are more than 3 patterns that I like then I will buy it.

Current weekend WIP
I was getting a bit behind in my rotation so I had to revamp it. I have chosen to work on this at our house by Lizzie Kate for the weekend. It is mostly lettering so I feel that I should get this one done quickly. If the kids and my husband can leave me alone for a bit. It may rain today so that will be a great excuse to stay indoors and relax since I worked extra hours this week so I am kinda burnt out a bit. Last nite I took my girl and her friend to see suicide squad at the drive in. It was a pretty good movie. I had a bit of a time to follow along with the story line but my daughter filled me in. She loves DC comics and her favorite was in the movie that being the joker and batman.
So below is what I will be working on. I am also going to be sorting out the beeds for the mill hill projects and getting those organized. I can not express how much I love to cross stitch. It is such a relaxing hobby. It brings me so much joy. I love all the patterns and how much love you can put into each piece. I love watching floss tube and seeing everyone enjoy this craft as much as I do. I only wish that my daughter was into this hobby as much as much as I was. Now that would be fun. It may come later in her life but for now she enjoys her video games and her anime. I am very proud of her and support whatever she does. My son well no chance of him starting to stitch even though I show him coffee stitcher on floss tube no way. lol
Mini Haul
It has been a hard couple of weeks so I decided to stop at my local LNS and treat myself to a new project or 2 or 3 LOL. I am so in love with the I love series by Mill Hill that I ordered the I love cross stitching and the I love notes to make for my girl for Christmas. I love the halloween as well as the Love one that they have available. I will get those ones later on. I love working with beads so much. It is a surprise to me that I waited this long to start Mirabillas as they are usually filled with beads. I also recently went over their mermaid series and I really enjoy them.
So now to the fun part. Below is a picture of my current haul.
